History

Becoming a reference on a worldwide level in applied biotechnology is only achieved by lots of years of hard work and believing on what we do. To have an innovative idea, designing a contamination free process of fabrication or knowing to be around the best professionals are only some important keys that have accompanied us through the year in this journey.

1994

On February 3, 1994 we officially establish the society BTSA Biotecnologías Aplicadas, S.L., starting that same year the production of antioxidants on the basis of tocopherol.

1995

In January 1995, we start production in the Humanes facilities in Madrid. That same year we launch our flagship product: TOCOBIOL®.

1998

In 1998 we include mixed tocopherols to our range of products, offering customers a new alternative of natural antioxidants.

2000

In 2000 BTSA began marketing Natural Vitamin E, adding active ingredients to the range of productos.

2002

Continuing with the ongoing growth and development of BTSA we begin working a new factory in Fuenlabrada (Madrid), significantly improving the technical and production capacity of the above facilities.

2003

In July 2003 we start operations in the new factory in Fuenlabrada. In parallel, including raw materials such as butter or powdered milk to our product range.

2004

BTSA continues to grow and naturally we add the Omega 3 to our product offering, leading to ECOFLAX®, an Omega 3, 100% naturally vegetable.

2005

We launch BIOMEGA-TECH®, Omega 3 from differnte types of fish and with different concentrations of EPA and DHA, meeting the growing market demand for these products.

2008

NUTRABIOL® and BIOXAN® are born for the food and cosmetics industries, respectively. Our Mixed Tocopherols and our Natural Vitamin E start to sell under these brands.

2010

Due to sustained growth of BTSA over the years and the increase of production lines, a new facility was necessary, so that in June this year we begin construction of the new factory in Tecnoalcalá.

2011

In January 2011, BTSA shifts production to the new facilities in Tecnoalcalá, a plant with more capacity and services that will enable us to continue to grow in the future to continue meeting the needs of our customers and the market demand.
