Applied Biotechnology

To put this in context and understand the philosophy of our company, the first thing we must be clear is the concept of biotechnology. A set of techniques that take advantage of biochemical transformations produced by the metabolic activity of microorganisms in their natural state or modified by genetic engineering.
 
As its name suggests "Applied Biotechnology" aims to take advantage of the results occurring in biotechnology, in this case in the field of chemistry, to obtain an enhancer element with a clear and defined function in any scope. In our case, we intend to use the application of biotechnology to contribute to the health and benefit of society, since our business lines are focused on the food industry, dietetics, pharmaceutical and cosmetics.
 

The main distinguishing features of BTSA are the functional ingredients extracted from natural products, both from the source and from the final result. This is achieved thanks to our manufacturing process, which allows the extraction of a concentrate rich in tocopherols (Vitamin E) to be processed without any chemical treatment.

The BTSA manufacturing process is unique. It begins from a residue of the rifining of vegetable oils, that formerly was wasted, using it completely (100%). After separating the functional ingredients, we process the rest of the raw material for biodiesel production.
